About Applewold

Applewold Borough is a small residential borough located along the western bank of the Allegheny River in Armstrong County, Pennsylvania, across the river from the borough of Kittanning. 

The Borough was incorporated in December 1899, beginning with a population of about 120. The number of residents has fluctuated over the years, with more than 500 residents at its height in the 1970s. The population of Applewold is currently 334, according to the 2020 census.

Our borough boasts many beautiful historic homes, a picturesque avenue along the river, and two recreation areas for residents to enjoy.
